Founded in 1996, the Neon Museum is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to collecting, preserving, studying and exhibiting iconic Las Vegas signs for educational, historic, arts and cultural enrichment. The Neon Museum campus includes the outdoor exhibition space known as the Neon Boneyard, a visitors’ center housed inside the former La Concha Motel lobby and the Neon Boneyard North Gallery which houses additional rescued signs and is available for weddings, special events, photo shoots, educational programs and self-guided tours.
“Our patrons love being able to share their visit to the Neon Museum with all of their friends through the Selfie Solution,” says Dawn Merritt, Neon Museum Public Relations & Marketing Director.
With 100,000 visitors each year, the museum wanted to provide guests the ability to share real-time experiences with their social circles, while simultaneously building the museum’s email data base, and extending the museum’s reach through social media. Since June 2014 the Neon Museum’s guests have shared more than 27,000 photos, generating more than 6-million impressions, resulting in 208,000+ postcard views.
